The Mussel Washer is an example of the bespoke nature of the Tong Peal washing range.

This is a BAW1210 stainless steel 316 Drum Washer with an Infeed System to wash nets with broken mussel shells in and crush the shells so the bits of shell fall out during the washing of the nets.  It consists of:

• A 1 metre diameter x 1200mm long drum with 17mm punched formed holes in two quadrants of the drum, plain in the other part.
• Vee belt drive with reversing timer (adjustable). 
• Infeed crushing section rollers. 
• On the end of the drum is an outlet door for emptying the drum and four internal spirals to help with washing and emptying. 
• Mounted at the infeed end of the drum is a 2" BSP spray bar connection. 
• The spray bar feeds into the drum - the water for this is from an existing pump.
• All the above is mounted on a common tank with an outlet for waste water. 
• All manufactured in 316 stainless steel.
